Pattern 01
The Stop Hunt
Price is pushed just beyond a known support or resistance level, triggering stop losses to fill large orders before reversing.
Tell: A sharp spike beyond a swing high/low that immediately reverses.
Pattern 02
False Breakout
A convincing breach of a consolidation range that triggers breakout traders, followed by an immediate reversal.
Tell: A close back inside the range after the break.
Pattern 03
Judas Swing
At session open, price makes a move in the opposite direction of the true session intent to lure in retail.
Tell: An early session high/low that terminates at a PD Array.
Pattern 04
News Trap
Economic news releases appear to cause price moves, but institutions use the spike to fill orders into retail panic.
Tell: A violent move into a PD Array on news, immediately reversing.
The Retail Emotion Cycle

Accumulation
Price has fallen significantly. Retail is bearish. Smart money quietly accumulates long positions at discount PD Arrays.

Mark Up
Price begins rising. FOMO builds. Late retail begins entering longs while smart money distributes.

Distribution
News is bullish. Everyone is long. Smart money sells all accumulated positions to retail euphoria.
The Mental Framework
Process Over Outcome
A well-executed trade that loses is a good trade. Judge only the process, not the profit.
Rule: Did I follow every step of my model?
Selective Patience
Sitting on your hands is a position. Boredom is not a valid reason to enter the market.
Rule: No setup = no trade.
Think in Probabilities
No trade is certain. Accept that losses are part of any edge and they play out over a large sample size.
Rule: Risk max 1% per setup.
